Strange sightings reported

Today I was involved in a flash mob to celebrate my new works recent birthday. It was amazing to see it unfold, but my hand in the fun meant I couldn't capture it on camera. Seemed more stange stuff was planned when I left work and spotted this guy dressed in white and silver.

Our history has always been the future

Four years since our first date in ye olde Hamilton.

Please don't tell the Italian's what I've done

Growing up you learn what is normal for most families, and what traditions your own family has that others may look sideways at.
Home made pizza is a comfort food my mum used to make, with tinned spaghetti as it's tomato base. It's strange but it's good, and quicker than a sunday roast.

Wagamama stories

Massimo, Serena and Pam.
Reuniting with old work friends at the pub, some of us escaped for food.

Tragical excitement

I have my own desk, own phone and extension and today I was given a filing cabinet with a key. Whoop whoop.
It's tragic, but after a year of hotdesking, I'm excited about a lockable space for my Avon handcream and jar of peeled pistachios

Ferry to Dartmouth

Our GPS took us to this ferry crossing - part of a B road. Fortunately we only waited minutes before crossing to see the beautiful harbour of Dartmouth on our way to Dartmouth Castle.

Falling of the table

A handful of digital cameras available from those around the table, yet we still didn't capture the gathering celebrating Louisa and Toni's birthday near China Town.
It's very rare these days to miss out on a photo opportunity (even without a daily quota), so sometimes it's nice to just experience the night and not freeze for what will become a blow-by-blow facebook album.

So bright it burns

It is so nice to see the sun again, after six months with it gone I've realised how much I missed it.
I think if I was alive in a time of pagan gods, I too would have offered to drag sarsen stone across the Salsibury fields, if it meant the sun would return.

A bakers dozen

Kev likes to re-tell the story that we moved over last year with 4 suitcases - 1 entirely for my shoes. My defence, it was more like half... The total pairs is actually only around a dozen, including boots.
These polka dot numbers have come out of retirement today and, those that scoffed will be happy to know, got the same reaction in London as they did in Hamilton. I'm not giving into the ballet flats just yet.

Marketing nostalgia

As the eighties kids start having kids, the marketing comes full circle. I wonder whether a kid today would appreciate this as much as something Disney branded.

The wikipedia write up is weirdly detailed.

Local Tourists

Even though we've done all the touristy highlights, we're aiming to spend at least one day a month in the city - trying to appreciate what we have while we're here.
