Man with a Van

We picked up a second hand shelving unit from a nice kiwi couple over in Canary Wharf. After seven years here they're heading back, we doubt we'll last that long. The unit, it turns out, what about the size of our car, so Kev was a little squashed driving us home. The comedy of it had me laughing from my squashed spot in the back.

The trek home, when the tube closes

Commiseration and cocktails

Stacey, Cath, Pam and Deborah. We're sad to see Cath and Deb return back to Sydney, but more than willing to at least toast them in farewell.

21 years of Green Day

Amazing.
Green Day went for a good 3 hours, putting on a great show with pyrotechnics, two decades of hits and fans invited up to take stage dives. The highlight of the night was during a karaoke song, fans that knew all the words were invited up, after a few failed attempts (girls running on stage to hug band members) a true fan took the microphone and was the lead singer of Green Day for almost a full song.
We got through the first encore and Good Riddance still hadn't been played. I was ready to go home slightly disappointed when the second encore got acoustic started.

Does it look big in this?

We rushed to White City to see Never Mind The Buzzcocks being filmed, but missed out by about 16 people. Stink. One.
But having gone all the way over to Hammersmith we may as well have shopped at the awful Westfield mall they've just built there. And Kev was nice enough to help me with some fashion advice to find the perfect dress for our Engagement party next month.

3D Hipster

We went to see Up in 3D. Apparently Pixar follow the Disney mantra of 'for every laugh, there should be a tear'. Well they scored the non speaking scenes enough for me to cry through most of the film.

There's an app for that?

Come on Ben, you don't need an app to eat ya birthday cake!

The Belsize Brewery

The first brew has gone down, a Victorian Bitter, by (apprentice) Master Brewers Timo and Kev. Now how many bottles do we have to empty this week, in preparation for the bottling?

Minimal effort, maximum effect

I think I'm going to go through customs next time I fly, and have to explain why I'm carrying a single birthday candle and a lighter around - just in case.
Martha would be proud, none the less.

Water that originates during precipitation events (not during smoking events)

I saw a dude throw his cigarette directly into the storm water drain. On purpose. It's the type of thing that makes me want to say something, but I always settle on a glare.

Shrouded in doubt

Yesterday, I suggested we pretend this crisp temperature change be Spring like, instead of Autumnal. Today, it's Autumnal feat. Melancholy
