I working in a big building, filled with people. All these people use paper and plastic cups everyday and then put them in a regular trash can. Me and my own mug try and repress the anger at this. It's not easy. I have friends that reuse cling film! Oh the humanity.
It rained this morning, then the sun came out blinding like a hangover at lunchtime.
Starting the research, while celebrating with Cath and Deb.
I'm trying to get past my life-time dislike of model aeroplanes with these new earrings.
Getting the last tube home from a house party filled with greeks. First party I've been to where no cameras came out the whole time we were there.
Found a free bike stand in Leicester Square for Kev to lock up his bike before seeing Brüno. His cycle didn't get nicked, but at £24 for tickets I feel a little robbed at a short 81 minutes.
On my sisters suggestion we meet here, one of my favourite parts of central London. Maybe because of the bad cell phone reception, but more likely because of it's history and character.
Only enough time for roman ruins on our last day, before flying back to London.
The casino in Monaco, but it was too hot to dress up fancy and go in. We prefer ice creams down in the millionaires marina anyway.
On the pebbly beach drinking beautifully cheap wine - Kev, Pam, Louisa & Tim.
And yes, to those who guessed at the niceties, we landed in Nice.
Further to yesterdays clues, it's a country we've been to before and close enough to visit a principality.
So, these are the destinations from London Stansted, one of which I will be landing at early tomorrow morning. I won't know where we're headed until we get to the boarding gate.
If you'd like to hazard a guess - information to assist: together (Kev and I, not you, the reader, and myself) we've already been to Italy (Sicily), British Isles (Dublin & Edinburgh), France (Paris), Spain (Madrid & Barcelona) & Portugal (Lisbon & Porto). We're going for four days and there are apparently a few nearby places of interest we can visit by train. The next clue will be a photo from our location...
This is 6 days of 6 connections, mostly tracks, mostly my commute. The few times I didn't grab a photo on the platform was because I was lucky enough to have a train waiting on the platform. Mind the doors, mind the closing doors.
A sneaky (blurry) shot on the set of You Have Been Watching, a topical media show. If you aren't in the UK to watch it, download. We saw the filming, Charlie Brookers first time in front of a studio as far as we could tell (many retakes) but it was very clever and hilarious.
The joys of the open plan office... the grafter that sits a row ahead of me has been watching Wimbledon on the company's online sports channel for the last week. With the volume on. While 'working'. It's driving me nuts. It's not just that I don't like tennis and Murray-fever is a worse epidemic than swine-flu in this country, it's that when she leaves her desk it's left on. So with my massive over ear headphones on, an attempt to educate her on office etiquette, I can hear strange chanting and cheering coming from her area. This is worse than the obnoxious Spanish women two rows back that spends her work day swearing in two languages at her colleagues down the phone.
And I thought it was the three-train-commute that was making me antisocial.
I brought Picasso prints back from our trip to Spain, Kev brought back a new and constant craving for paella. And today he made enough to see the week out, from a recipe in the latest TNT - pg 14 (grean beans are an added use-up-stuff-from-the-fridge ingredient).
This is literally growing from the cracks in our concreted front yard.
